Being Very Active

Two weekends ago Nick and I went on a little Italian date. We went to Little Italy, bought prosciutto, mild copa, fontina cheese and a bottle of Chianti, and picnicked in the park. It was really nice in the city, which made for a great time.

We've been extra active this past weekend. On Saturday we romped around at the dog beach, which was a sunny 72 degree day at the ocean. On Sunday, Nick and I went on a 20 mile bike ride with a few Skanska people. The ride was really easy, but we were sore from the bikes. We rented really nice bikes at a big discount, but not having ridden in 4 years, the racing seats were pretty uncomfortable. After the 1.5 hour ride, we took Echo on a hike on Montara Mountain Trail. As you go up the mountain (it's more a very large hill), you overlook Highway 1 and the ocean. It was breath-taking.
These were our bikes

The view from our hike. Ocean and Hwy 1

Another gorgeous view

What a pretty girl!!!!

Echo is now 7 months old and 53 lbs. She always has so much energy, and she now looks like a mini dog instead of a puppy.
She must be taunting the other puppies by sticking her tongue out at them

Here she looks so goofy.

Our friend, Dee, came out to visit family for the 4th of July holiday. Her family lives 10 minutes away, so we were lucky to see her on Saturday. She came to the dog park with us and hung out for a bit. We hope to see her again on Sunday before she leaves.

Hopefully, you all have fun 4th of July plans. Enjoy the weekend!
